They continued to mark the date code on the end flap of the shipping box. (*) On 8/9/99, stopped stamping the barrels with the date code. One needs to be sure that the barrel is original to the gun before trusting the Barrel Code listing, above. Using these barrel codes to date a shotgun is somewhat unreliable, as shotgun barrels are often interchanged at random. Using barrel codes (such as those listed above) to date the manufacture are reliable on Remington rifles, as the company rarely changed barrels on a customer's rifle. The following letters correspond to the months of the yearī - L - A - C - K - P - O - W - D - E - R - Xġ - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 Remington's manufactured after 1921 have a code located on the left side of the barrel near the frame that identifies the year and month of manufacture. I also noticed the NATO stamp on the right side is not there on my model.Here is some information that you can get from you serial number after 1921 The guns looked the same and the serial number said P01 along with the shop assuring me they were the same, but just wanted to see if there was a different version of the P01 that I ended up with. One thing I noticed was that the range gun had the P01 markings but the one I got was marked with '75D Compact 9 x 19' on the slide. The range happened to have the P01 on-hand and I immediately purchased it. The P01 had the best feel and best groupings of all the handguns even though I really wanted a G19 while walking in the door. Being new to guns I went to the local shooting range and shot all the 9mm available. My house ended up getting broken into and after having nothing to protect me I decided to buy a home defense gun with possibility as a CCW. Consequently, a large number of other manufacturers began offering pistols based on CZ 75 design (see Clones, copies, and variants by other manufacturers). The CZ 75 is a semi-automatic pistol made by Czech firearm manufacturer ČZUB. Best I can tell looking online is that the model number is 99021 and it doesn't appear on the CZ-USA site any longer.

It's not a P-01 or a Frankengun since the P-01 has an alloy frame and all the serial numbers on the case, frame, slide, and barrel match. Mine is very recent a 2012.has the number 12 then a symbol and serial number, hope this helps. There should be a two digit number on the slide before the serial number.
